HOW TO AND RULES READ THE RULES - FIND A SOLUTION SOLUTIONS ARE SPECIFIC – The solution to a game is a textual description of something that exists in the universe. This answer will vary in length from one word to a phrase. The solution will always be short, succinct, and exact. You do not travel to, dig up, buy, steal, or otherwise physically obtain, see, hear, or touch the solution. You do not put yourself or others in harm’s way or violate any law to find the solution. SOLUTIONS ARE VARIED – A solution may be drawn from all possible fields of knowledge, including but not limited to, science, mathematics, history, philosophy, geography, literature, languages, music, art, and religion. The solution is determined completely by using your brainpower and the game file purchased. You may use any research methods such as the web, maps, calculators, computers, or local libraries, but you will not need to travel to a specific location to find the solution. EXAMPLES – Sample solutions might be, “Amy’s Doughnuts at 314 Shake Street in Boise Idaho”, “the Eiffel Tower”, “4.3 light years”, “William Shakespeare’s Hamlet, Act I I I Scene 1, line 56”, “The Last Samurai”, “H2SO4”, “Phobos”, “30.06”. PURCHASE A GAME SELECT A GAME – Select one or more games to add to your shopping cart. USE PAYPAL – We use Paypal for most purchase transactions. If you do not have a Paypal account, set one up by choosing “Create a Paypal account.” Follow the instructions provided by Paypal. We will use your email name in Paypal as your unique id. Alternatively, if you have a major credit card, paypal will accept a secure credit card payment transaction without setting up a permanent account. RECEIVE TWO EMAILS – After Paypal validates your purchase you will receive two emails. The first will be a receipt from Paypal which is proof of your purchase. A second email will be sent that provides a link to a webpage. This webpage allows you to download the game to your computer. You may need to check for this email in your spam, junk, or other filtered email folders. DOWNLOAD YOUR GAME SAVE TO YOUR COMPUTER – When you download the game, be sure to save it to your computer for future use as the download link will only be valid for 30 days. Once you have saved the game file to your computer it is valid as long as the game is in play. UNZIP THE FILE – The game file is downloaded as a zip file. The zip file contains the game file itself (which could be in various formats, pdf, text, doc, mp3, jpg etc.) and a copy of the General Rules for all games and any special rules pertaining to the specific game purchased. To unzip this file you need to have a copy of WinZip. Download a free version of WinZip here. (http://www.winzip.com/downwz.htm). PLAY THE GAME – After reading the rules, you can begin to search for the solution to the game. SUBMIT YOUR SOLUTION SUBMIT YOUR ANSWER – When you arrive at a solution to the game, submit your answer via the SubmitSolution form. 1 - Email Address. Must be the one that you used when purchased the game. 2 – Game Name. Select the appropriate Game Name from the drop down list on the submit form 3 – Your solution. This will generally consist of a short phrase or sentence fragment which specifically solves the puzzle ( See Examples for Solutions above) 4 – Your explanation. The EXPLANATION should be complete, outlining your steps or reasoning to the solution. Use text only, not graphics, sound, movies, etc. Without a detailed explanation your solution will be disqualified and not considered. Explanations of more than 1000 words, unless warranted, will aggravate us. LIMIT SUBMISSIONS – Submit only one solution per game purchase. If you have used your purchased solution attempt and have no attempts remaining, any additional solution submissions will be disregarded and you will receive an email notification with your current purchase status. If you wish to submit additional solution attempts, you may repurchase the game to obtain an additional submission. There is no limit to the number of times you may repurchase a game. RECEIVE ACKNOWLEDGMENT – Once you submit your solution you will receive an acknowledgment email which verifies that we received your submission. We will examine the solution as soon as possible and if it is deemed correct, you will be notified by email usually within 24 to 48 hours. If your solution is deemed incorrect you will also be notified by email within 24 to 48 hours. If you solution was incorrect, you may try again as soon as you repurchase the game. CLAIM YOUR TREASURE BE THE FIRST – All solution-submission emails are time stamped for the time they were sent. Only the person with the earliest correct solution is awarded the treasure. READ OUR EMAIL – We will provide instructions on how to make arrangements to claim your treasure. CLAIM YOUR CASH – Treasures will be awarded as cash, and will be a percentage of the cash paid in by players of your game. GET YOUR FRIENDS TO PLAY – Check often to see the cash amount of treasure for a particular game on our web page. The amount awarded for a game goes up as more players enter the game, so encourage your friends to play! FOLLOW THE RULES – Not adhering to the General Rules stated above will disqualify your submission. If there are special rules for specific games, they will be distributed in the zip file along with the general rules. The special rules may supersede the general rules. Not adhering to special rules distributed with game zip files will disqualify your submission. Good Luck! BE OVER 18 – Treasures will only be awarded to persons 18 years or older.
